Kimberley Maxwell

Kimberley is a Māori marine researcher from the New Zealand tribes: Whakatōhea, Ngāitai, Te Whānau-a-Apanui, Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Ngāti Porou. Her work involves weaving together mātauranga Māori and science to inform Māori communities about questions they have regarding aquaculture, fisheries and marine management decisions. Most recently working on the Moana Project investigating Whakatōhea community aspirations for their tribal marine territory by developing a marine plan.
