My research utilises molecular genomic tools to investigate the standing genetic adaptation and plastic response to heat stress in Acropora coral species at the World Heritage Ningaloo Reef. I am interested in what molecular level changes occur in response to water temperature rises, how populations can recover following bleaching events and what mechanisms drive this resilience.
