Sushmita Mukherji
I am originally from Mumbai, India and have over 5 years of experience working with fishing communities. Since moving to Australia, I have worked as a technician on several projects in Queensland and India. I am currently a PhD student at IMAS in Tasmania. My PhD aims to provide insights into the life history characteristics, population status and productivity of deepwater elasmobranchs landed by fisheries in Australia, and the evaluation of alternate management strategies for these fisheries.
