Mitchell D Brennan

Mitchell is a PhD candidate at the University of Technology, Sydney and founder / project manager of the Sydney Seahorse Project at the Sydney Institute of Marine Science. Broadly, Mitchell is interested in the biology and ecology of threatened fishes and ecosystems, and developing appropriate conservation and management strategies to aid in their recovery. Mitchell has a particular interest and adoration for syngnathids, the family of fishes that includes seahorses, sea dragons and pipefish. Mitchell's PhD research focuses on the conservation of the endangered White's seahorse, Hippocampus whitei. Mitchell is the co-chair of the ASFB Threatened Fishes Committee.
