I am a principal scientist at BMT in Brisbane with interests in remote sensing, UAV, and novel approaches to monitoring and change detection. I work in a range of tropical marine habitats, with a current focus on degraded coral habitats. My most significant projects involve assessing the effectiveness of ship-grounding remediations, restoring rugosity to rubble fields with biodegradable materials, coral transplantation techniques, and the effects of macroalgal removal on coral restoration. I am interested in future projects to industrially harvest macroalgae which also result in coral reef restoration.
