Olivia Dove
My current research focuses on the at-sea foraging behaviour of two seabirds foraging in south-east Tasmania: the short-tailed shearwater (Ardenna tenuirostris) and the little penguin (Eudyptula minor). By assessing their dive behaviour within spatial and temporal contexts, I aim to understand their foraging strategies and habitat utilization to help identify any external impacts affecting them. Outside of my PhD, I am the weekly host, a co-manager, and an editor on the nipaluna/Hobart-based radio/podcast show, That’s What I Call Science, which was recently awarded a prestigious Eureka Prize.
