Lillian Stewart
Lill is a PhD Candidate based in Hobart, researching plastic pollution and its interactions with coastlines and fish. Currently working on Tasmanian Sand Flathead, she is using analytical laboratory methods to detect micro-sized plastic pollution particles in various tissues. Using Tasmania's favourite recreational species as a case study, her work will also add data and insight into the human risk from consuming fish that may contain microplastic pollutants. When she isn't in the lab dissecting fish she is often at sea racing offshore, where she also volunteers to increase the sustainability initiatives within the sport.
