Alexandra S Johne
Alex is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) at the University of Tasmania. Her research focusses on individual variability in fish, the processes that contribute to size-at-age variability observed in experimental data and how to best capture variability using process-based models. Bringing together ecological theory and empirical data is one of her main interests, and she also loves a bit of data collection. Alexandra's PhD is supervised by Prof Julia Blanchard (IMAS), Prof Chris Carter (IMAS) and Dr Shane Richards (UTas).
