Dayanitha Damodaran
Dayanitha Damodaran recently handed in her Ph.D. researching the habitat requirements of native ecosystem engineers to inform the production of artificial structures, such as seawalls, that will promote native species. She carried out her Ph.D. research at Cawthron Institute in Nelson, NZ and Macquarie University in Sydney, AU. Prior to this, Dayanitha interned at the University of Washington Tacoma and worked with the Olympia Oyster restoration team. Dayanitha completed her MSc at Victoria University of Wellington where she investigated mass mortalities of two native bivalve species. She is currently open to job or postdoc offers.
