Paula Andrea Ruiz-Ruiz
My name is Paula Andrea Ruiz-Ruiz and I’m a dedicated researcher and environmental scientist with expertise in marine ecology. I started my PhD in Biological Sciences in October 2022, focusing on understanding the mechanisms that promote both stability and instability of turf community states, which serve as a crucial indicator of collapse for temperate to tropical reefs. Throughout my academic journey, I have actively contributed to scientific literature, with published papers exploring topics such as underwater soundscapes, bioenergetics, and fatty acid biomarkers. My dedication to environmental conservation extends beyond academia. I have served as a coordinator for the Table of Adaptation to Climate Change in South-central Chile and have engaged in the dissemination of marine science to school children.
