Freya Croft
I am a post-doctoral research fellow at the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security at the University of Wollongong. In this role I have been working on interdisciplinary projects looking at the social dimensions of the Blue Economy. This work has involved looking at how social equity has been considered in ocean and coastal activities and how equity can be embedded into ocean governance.
I am currently working on projects that explore the social dimensions of emerging offshore industries such as offshore wind and kelp aquaculture and the processes of coastal change and transformation in the face of uncertain futures. I am also really interested in thinking about the role of emotions in shaping values, interactions with the natural world and decision making.
