I'm a PhD candidate from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - Brazil and James Cook University - Australia. I'm interested in investigating how hard corals interact with other reef organisms, like macroalgae, zoantharians, and soft corals, and how they compete with each other by physical or chemical means. I have conducted a series of experiments during my PhD addressing this topic, and how environmental factors, like acidification and pollution, can change the outcome of competition between hard corals and other competitors.
